This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Kit And Crest collects when you visit kitandcrest.shop or order kit from us, why we need it, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. Personalised kit means we handle a little more than a typical shop, such as the name you want on the back of a jersey or a gift message for a friend, so this page covers that too. Your privacy in brief
- We collect what we need to take your order, print any personalisation, deliver your parcel and answer your emails.

- Photos you email us, for example of a problem with an item, are deleted 30 days after delivery.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us.
What we collect and where it comes from
When you order
At checkout we collect your name, email address, billing address and delivery address, plus any other details the checkout form asks for. We keep a record of what you ordered: the products, sizes, sleeve lengths, quantities and prices. If you ship a gift to a different address, such as a water bottle and crew socks sent to a friend in Canada, we also collect the recipient’s name and address for that delivery.
Personalisation you type
On personalised products we store what you enter in the product fields: the name on back, the number on back, any crest initials, the lettering colour, a group or ride name for the side panel, and a gift message for the packing slip if you add one. We need this text to print and pack your order exactly as you typed it. Please only enter names you have the right to use, and do not put sensitive information in a gift message.
When you create an account
If you create an account in My Account, we store your login email, a securely stored password, your saved addresses and your order history, so you can check order status and reorder more easily.
When you email us
Support is by email only. When you write to support@kitandcrest.shop or use Submit a Ticket, we keep your message, your email address and anything you attach, such as a photo of a print fault or a damaged parcel.
When you browse
Like most websites, ours records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you and the time of your visit. Some of this comes from cookies, explained below.
From payment providers
The payment provider you use at checkout tells us whether your payment went through and may give us limited details, such as the payment type or the last digits of a card. We never receive or store your full card number.

How we use your information
- To fulfil orders: process payment, print personalisation, pack and ship your kit, and send order emails.
- To support you: reply to questions within 24 hours on business days, handle cancellations within the 24-hour window, and process returns and refunds.
- To keep things safe: spot fraudulent orders, protect accounts and keep the site secure.
- To meet legal duties: keep the records the law requires.
- To improve the shop: understand which pages and products are useful, in summary form.
- Marketing emails: only if you have agreed to receive them or the law allows it, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Personalisation is never reused
If you order a Custom Name and Crest Cycling Jersey with your name and number 7, that text is used for your order and nothing else. We do not publish it, use it in marketing or share it with anyone except as needed to make and deliver your item.
Emails we send you
Order emails, such as your order confirmation, a reply to your support request or confirmation that a refund has been sent, are part of fulfilling your order, so they go out whether or not you signed up for marketing. Marketing emails are separate: you only get them if you opted in, and one click on the unsubscribe link stops them without affecting your order emails. If you check your order status on the Order Tracking page, we use your order number and email address only to find and show that order.
Legal bases for visitors in the UK and EEA
We sell to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but if data protection laws of the UK or European Economic Area apply to you, we rely on these bases: performing our contract with you (orders, delivery and support), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the shop), your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations (keeping order records).
Who sees your information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only what they need to do their job:
- the payment provider you choose at checkout, to take your payment and process refunds;
- the businesses that produce, pack and deliver your order, which need your name, delivery address, the items ordered and any personalisation text;
- our website hosting and email providers, which store the site and carry our emails;
- any other tools we enable to run the site, such as analytics, only within the limits described in this policy.
These providers may use your information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale of the shop, in which case this policy continues to protect your information.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Group and gift orders
If you order matching kits for friends, for example four Custom Group Ride Cycling Jerseys for a charity ride with each rider’s name, you give us their names and, if parcels go to different addresses, their addresses. Please only share their details if they are happy for you to do so. We use them only to make and deliver those jerseys.
Cookies on kitandcrest.shop
Essential cookies make the cart, checkout and account work. Without them you cannot place an order. They remember what is in your cart, keep you signed in and protect the checkout.
Other cookies, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are used only if we enable those tools, and only after you agree where the law requires consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will stop working.
Keeping information safe and for the right time
Security
The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to customer information is limited to what is needed to fulfil orders and answer support emails. Payments are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and if a breach affects you we will tell you where the law requires.
Retention
We keep information only as long as we need it. Order records, including personalisation text, are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Photos you email us about a problem are deleted 30 days after delivery. Support conversations are kept while they are useful for your request and any follow-up. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Where information is processed
We are based in the US and our orders ship from the USA. If you live in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is processed in the United States and possibly other countries where our service providers operate. We use the safeguards the law requires when information moves between countries.
Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- find out what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong, such as an old delivery address;
- ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law;
- object to or limit some uses, and withdraw consent you gave earlier;
- opt out of marketing emails at any time;
- opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, although we do not do this.
California residents
California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to delete it, to correct it and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Making a request

- We may ask you to confirm details from an order so we know the request is really from you.
- We reply within 24 hours on business days and complete the request within the time the law allows.
Children
We sell youth sizes of some running tees and cycling jerseys, but the shop is not directed to children and orders must be placed by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the higher age set by local law. If a youth item is personalised with a child’s first name, that text is handled like any other personalisation and used only for the order. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Updates to this policy
We may change this policy when our shop, our service providers or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will post a notice on the site or email you.
