This page collects the questions riders and runners ask us most often, from choosing a size before a club ride to fixing a typo in a name on back. Each answer matches our policy pages word for word on the numbers, and each one points you to the page with the full detail. If your question is not here, email us and a real person will answer it.

Placing and adjusting your order

How do I place an order with Kit And Crest?

Pick a product from the shop or one of the collections, choose your size and any options shown on the product page, then add it to your cart. At checkout you enter your delivery address and pay with one of the methods shown there. Once the order goes through you receive an order confirmation email with your order number. Keep that number handy, because it is the fastest way for us to find your order if you write in.

Can I change my order after I have placed it?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing it. Email us with your order number and exactly what you want changed: a size, short sleeve to long sleeve, the spelling of a name, the number, or the delivery address. Say a rider orders a cycling jersey in M and realises six hours later she wanted the long sleeve version; that is well inside the window and we update it for her. If she only notices three days later, the order is already being prepared, so the route is to let it arrive and use the 60-day return. The full detail is on the cancel or change an order page.

How do I cancel an order?

Email support@kitandcrest.shop within 24 hours of placing the order and include your order number. We confirm the cancellation by email and refund the full amount to your original payment method. After 24 hours the order has entered production, and you can return it once it arrives instead.

Can I order for several friends in one go and send each item to a different address?

Each order goes to one delivery address. If four friends want the Custom Group Ride Cycling Jersey for a charity ride, each with their own name, the same group name and a different size, the simplest way is for each rider to place their own order with their own address. That keeps sizes, spellings and deliveries separate, and each person can handle their own return if a size is off. We are a retail store for individuals and small groups of friends, so there is no bulk programme or group discount.

Do you offer a discount if I buy a matching kit?

No. Every item carries its own price. You can build a matching kit, for example the Chevron Sprint Cycling Jersey with the Chevron Sprint Running Shorts and Chevron Sprint Crew Socks, but each one is priced on its own product page and there is no bundle discount at checkout.

Names, numbers and crest initials

Which products can I personalise?

Five products have built-in personalisation fields on the product page, and you will find them together in the Custom Name & Crest collection. Depending on the product you can add a name on back of up to 14 characters, a number on back from 0 to 99, crest initials of up to 3 letters, and a lettering colour. The group ride jersey also has an optional group or ride name on the side panel, and the race day tee has an optional gift message for the packing slip.

Will you send me a proof or mockup before you print?

No. We do not send a proof or mockup before production. While you type, a live preview shows your name and number over the product photo, so use that to check the look. We then print exactly what you typed. If you enter CHRISTOPER instead of CHRISTOPHER, that is what goes on the back. Read every field twice before you pay. If you spot a mistake within 24 hours of ordering, email us and we fix it before production.

How is my name printed?

The name on back is printed in capital letters, whatever case you type it in, and it can be up to 14 characters long. Spaces and letters count toward that limit. If a long surname does not fit, many riders use a nickname or first name instead, which also reads better from the wheel behind you on a group ride.

Should I type 7, 07 or 0 for my number?

The number field accepts any value from 0 to 99, and we print it the way you enter it. Type 7 if you want a single digit, 07 if you want the leading zero, and 0 if you want just a zero. If the leading zero matters to you, check it in the live preview before adding the item to your cart.

Do the crest initials cost extra?

The crest initials field is optional. Its add-on price is shown next to the field, and it is charged only when you fill it in. Leave it empty and you pay nothing extra. The same rule applies to the optional group or ride name on the group ride jersey.

Can you print my team, club, race or a famous rider’s name or logo?

No. We cannot print the name or logo of any team, club, race, event, brand or app, and we cannot print a well-known rider’s name. Our designs are our own generic designs, and the only personal details we add are your own name, number and initials. If an order contains a protected name or logo, we will contact you to change it or cancel it. The reasons are explained in our intellectual property policy.

Shipping and delivery

Where do you ship, and what does it cost?

We ship to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and shipping is free with no minimum order. We do not ship to any other country at the moment. Every order ships from the USA. More detail is on our shipping and delivery page.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Allow 1-3 business days for us to prepare the order, then 7-14 business days in transit to all four countries. These are estimates rather than guarantees. If you are counting down to a race weekend in Australia or New Zealand, plan for the full 14 business days in transit on top of preparation time, and order well ahead.

How do I check where my order is?

Log in to My Account to see your order status, or use the order tracking page with your order number and the email address you ordered with. If you want more detail than the status shows, email us with your order number and we will reply with an update.

Will I pay import duties or taxes on an order to Canada, Australia or New Zealand?

Import duties and taxes depend on the destination country and its rules for parcels from the USA. We do not collect sales tax at checkout. If you have a question about a specific delivery, contact us before you order and we will help as far as we can.

My parcel is late or seems lost. What should I do?

First check the status in My Account. If the estimate has passed and nothing has arrived, email us with your order number and delivery address. We will look into it and help you get it sorted.

Returns, exchanges and refunds

What is your return policy?

You have 60 days to return an item, for any reason, including a simple change of mind. We pay the return postage with a free return label, and there is no restocking fee. For example, if a Retro Checker Cycling Jersey arrives and the pattern is not what you pictured, email us, use the label we send, and we refund you once it is back with us. Full steps are on the returns and exchanges page.

Can I return a personalised item?

Yes. The 60-day return window and free return label also apply to items with a name, number or crest initials. That said, because we print exactly what you type, the best fix for a typo is to email us within 24 hours of ordering so we can correct it before production.

How do I swap to a different size?

Return the item you have within 60 days using the free return label, and place a new order for the size you want. Ordering the new size straight away means it is on its way while your return travels back. The size guide helps you choose the second time round.

When will I get my refund?

We send your refund within 7 days of receiving your return, to the original payment method. When your bank or payment provider shows it can depend on them. If you would rather have store credit, ask for it; store credit never expires. The refund policy covers the money side in full.

My item arrived damaged or with a print fault. What now?

Email us with your order number and clear photos of the problem. We will help put it right. Photos you send us are deleted 30 days after delivery, so we do not keep them longer than we need.

Products and sizing

Which sizes do you offer?

Jerseys and tees come in adult XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL, with 2XL and 3XL costing $3 more. Singlets, shorts and leggings come in XS to 2XL. Hoodies and the crew sweatshirt come in S to 3XL. The kids running tee and kids cycling jersey come in Youth S, M, L and XL. Crew socks come in S/M and L/XL, and the sport cap, water bottle and tote bag are one size.

What is the difference between race fit and club fit?

It is how you size, not a different garment. Race fit means sizing down for a closer feel, the way many riders like a jersey on race day. Club fit means taking your usual size for a more relaxed feel on a long Sunday ride or club run. A runner between M and L who wants a closer feel picks M; one who wants room picks L. Compare with a top you already own and enjoy wearing. The size guide walks through it.

Why is the long sleeve version more expensive?

Where a design is offered in both short sleeve and long sleeve, the long sleeve costs $6 more. You choose sleeve length on the product page before adding the item to your cart.

What fabric are your items made from, and how do I care for them?

Our designs are all-over printed. Fabric and care details are on each product page. If the detail you need is not there, email us before you order and we will tell you what we know about that item.

Paying for your order

Which payment methods can I use?

The methods shown at checkout are the ones available for your order. We never ask for card details by email. See the payment methods page for how payment works.

Do your prices include tax?

We do not collect sales tax at checkout. The price you see on the product page and in your cart is the price you pay us, with free shipping on top of that at no cost.

Your account and your details

Do I need an account to order?

An account lets you see your order history and status in one place on the My Account page. If you check out without one, you can still look up an order with your order number and email on the order tracking page.

How do you use my personal details?

We use your details to process, deliver and support your order. Photos you email us are deleted 30 days after delivery. Read the full privacy policy for what we collect and why.
